EU imposes ADD on barium carbonate imports from India, China



The European Union (EU) has imposed final anti-dumping duty (ADD) on barium carbonate, a key industrial chemical, from China and India.

The ADD shall enter into force on the day following the decision’s publication in the EU Official Journal.

The EU has imposed final anti-dumping duty (ADD) on barium carbonate from China and India.
For China, the ADD is 83.9 per cent for Guizhou Redstar Developing, 72.6 per cent for Hubei Jingshan Chutian Barium Salt Corp and 78.2 per cent for other cooperating companies.
For Indian suppliers, the ADD is 4.6 per cent, disrupting markets for glass, ceramics and other sectors.

For China, the ADD is 83.9 per cent for Guizhou Redstar Developing, 72.6 per cent for Hubei Jingshan Chutian Barium Salt Corp and 78.2 per cent for other cooperating companies.

For Indian suppliers, the ADD is 4.6 per cent, disrupting markets for glass, ceramics and other sectors. One of the affected Indian companies is Vishnu Barium Private Limited.
